Big Ears Festival

The Big Ears Festival is held in Knoxville, TN over 4 consecutive days in the Spring. It has been described by the New York Times as, “one of the world’s greatest music bashes.”

In 2020, the festival was canceled due to the pandemic. Big Ears responded by creating ‘Sites & Sounds,’ a streaming initiative that provided a platform for artists and audiences to connect.

We captured and produced two of the concerts. The first featured the band mssv at Keyhole Quarry in Ijams Nature Park; and the second included a trio of guitarist/composers, Marisa Anderson, William Tyler and Yasmin Williams at Loghaven Artist Residency.

Each performance was ticketed and streamed over the course of a weekend.

Other work we have done for Big Ears is on Vimeo.
